I am someone who was born into a long line of artists in my family, starting with my father who built his own motorcycle as well as the 2 1/2 story house that I grew up in, my Nonno who is a published author and expert publicist, my Nonna who was a seamstress in Italy and NYC, a great uncle who was the cartoonist for Playboy for over 25 years, a great grandfather who was a master violinist in Ireland, and my other great grandfather who was a master marble sculptor in Italy. I have seen their work my whole life but now it is coming out in my own art more and more as the years go on.
I first saw this when I started my art career drawing cartoons and typography which eventually stemmed into painting murals and graffiti art. This went on until I enrolled in college at Florida Atlantic University to study art at the age of 21. That’s where I discovered my well versed eye for design and creativity through every form of art imaginable. Until, I eventually landed on Photography.
When I picked up a camera for the first time, I felt the natural need to create and persistently explore the world. For the next 5 years after that I found myself taking it wherever I went and eventually using it as my means to pay the bills while I built my portfolio. I have met celebrities, attended some of the most amazing parties, and traveled around the world because of it. My camera is my soulmate and I always joke about a romantic relationship with it.. but really it is my best friend. We usually do everything together, you can ask all of my actual friends and they will tell you.
Now, I am taking the camera and trying to create images that excite the viewer and enlighten them at the same time. In my mind, beauty is tied with creativity and each one should compliment the other when it comes to making a beautiful photo. A pretty model is one thing but a pretty photo is a combination of about a thousand things all working together.
I will be photographing for the rest of my life and I just hope that I can live up to the rest of my families accomplishments by the end of it. But, this is only the beginning! So, I plan on working hard and having as much fun experimenting while I do! If you are a client of mine we will be creating art and making the images that will impress your viewers as much as possible.
